You know what feels really great? Growing your site’s traffic by 242% in one year is pretty fantastic. This site grew in monthly visitors 242% over the past year, from 6,436 visits in the first month to 22,066 in the most recent month (from March 16 to April 15, 2011).
In this month’s traffic report, I’m going to show you how growing your site’s traffic by 242% or more isn’t really all that impossible if you break it down.
It all starts by realizing the power of compound growth.
Don’t listen to that enthusiastic woman’s shirt in the image above. You can get people to care about your blog. In this post I’m going to show you how I built a full business around this blog in less than a year.
If someone had told me in its first year this blog would:
- Attract over 138,000 unique visits
- Lead over 20 awesome clientsto work with me
- Help me convince 15 of the world’s most successful online entrepreneursto contribute to a flagship product that sold out in 36 hours
- And, directly earn just over $103,500 in revenue …
… I might have thought that person was crazy. Now I think I could have done much more.
Welcome to another Think Traffic monthly report! I can hardly believe it, but this is the 12th monthly report since I launched this blog back on March 16, 2010.
The last year has been an amazing journey for me and Think Traffic. I’ll be summarizing everything that’s happened along with my plans for the future next week, and you won’t want to miss it.
If you were following along with me over the past month, you probably know that I launched a new premium course called Traffic School. We’ll talk about how the launch went more in the annual report coming up, but for now I want to explain how the launch boosted the traffic to this site in a major way.
What a difference a month can make. In last month’s report I shared that this site received 11,845 visits in that month, and 11,924 in the month prior.
This month this site received 19,982 visits. That’s an increase of 68.7%!
Welcome to Think Traffic’s monthly report #11. Let’s find out how this site managed to grow so much last month.
If you’re new here, every month I report on how this site has been building traffic so you can learn from my experience. Well, I dropped the ball last month and didn’t publish a traffic report for the month. This report will be a combination of two monthly reports, covering the period from November 15, 2010 to January 15 2011.
In each monthly report I also like to tackle a topic related to what has happened at this site. This month we’ll be talking about what to do when your site hits a growth plateau.
First, let’s jump right into the report.
Things have been rolling along here at Think Traffic. If you’re new here, every month I publish a monthly report that details exactly how this site is growing.
I’m happy to report this past month (the period from October 16 to November 15, 2010) was another record traffic month. Thanks for reading, subscribing to and contributing to Think Traffic every month. I hope you’re getting a lot from it and learning how to build a thriving online audience for your own website or blog.
I have a bunch of juicy info to share with you in this month’s report including some interesting data about those little Facebook “like” buttons you see on this page and all over the web. Read on for the details.
