Coming Next Tuesday, October 5: 18 Months, 2 Blogs, Six Figures

If you’ve been following my saga over the past 18 months, you probably know that I’ve been on a personal journey. My goal over the past year and a half has been to find personal freedom by building an independent online business around this blog and handful of other projects.

I’m ecstatic to report that I’ve accomplished that goal, and I’m about to release a free guide with all the juicy details.

Check back here on Tuesday, October 5 at 9am Eastern to get your free copy.

In the report, you’ll find out exactly how I’ve built a six-figure business writing about what I love. I’m going to share everything with you in the hopes it will help those of you interested in building an online business succeed as well.

Here’s what you’ll learn in the guide:

  • How I created a six figure online business in 18 months (while living part-time at the beach in Mexico).
  • Full income estimates for my business in 2010-2011
  • The highly effective business model that will lower your risk
  • The reality of life as a location independent “solopreneur”
  • How to build an audience big enough to support yourself from
  • How I made $11,000 in 72 hours with my first product launch

This isn’t some watered-down freebie. I’ve poured my heart into this guide and have tried to leave nothing to the imagination.

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. If you’re trying to build an online “lifestyle” business, your #1 question is probably “is it really possible?” That’s likely followed by something along the lines of “how much can I make?”

Those questions and much more are answered in specific detail.

Why I Wrote The Guide (and Why It’s Free)

As I’ve learned and grown and worked my ass off building this business, I’ve gained so much from the generosity of so many awesome people. Without their advice I would probably have given up by now. So many blog posts, email conversations and free manifestos have pushed me along and kept hope alive.

I’ll share all those sources of inspiration in the book and give a shout out to all my homeys who’ve helped me through. Right now I’d like to thank Chris Guillebeau for his endless inspiration and for his fantastic 279 Days to Overnight Success, which was the model for the guide I wrote.

This is my way of saying thanks to everyone who has helped me, and to pay it forward to all of you who are on similar journeys. I hope the guide will provide knowledge and inspiration to push you along.

If You Love the Guide, I’d Love Your Help

This guide isn’t for everybody. Obviously it will be most useful to bloggers and people who want to create an online business. There are also plenty of bits of wisdom in the guide (it’s over 12,000 words) that will help any entrepreneurial venture.

If you love the guide and find it helpful, I would really love your help in spreading the word. I’d really appreciate if you would review the guide on your site and link to it, or tell your friends about it. I’d also love to hear your comments on everything I cover in the report.

That’s all for now. Check back next Tuesday for the report. Sign up for my email list and I’ll try to get you a copy Monday night.

See you Tuesday! I can’t wait.

Has it been that long already? I can still remember the early days (17 months ago..), what an insane journey!

Now you got me in even more mental distress you know, I started out at about the same time as you did and still have a long way to go. And you, you just did it! Congratulations Corbett!

And now it’s back to my latest project, expecting to make a silent launch in a month

Sounds great! I can definitely review it on the Cheapest Destinations blog and elsewhere. If you drift inland from the beaches, let’s meet up in the colonial center of Mexico.

Wow Corbett. What a guide (once again, I must add)! It’s been amazing to watch you grow and keep on inspiring people (both as a writer and a business owner) over the past few years. You’ve come a long way from the point when I first read the 4HWW and stumbled to your site (was it 2008?).

All the best for the future and keep on rockin’ buddy!

Ian October 5, 2010 at 5:23 am
