Well, it's been a frustrating week here at at CollegePrepU. For those of you who know what the "Panda Update" is, we were hit with that and penalized by dropping in the search engine ranks. As a result, our traffic has been cut down by about 2/3's.
Currently we are in the process of changing some things on the site in order to get back into favor with Google. To our knowledge, we have done nothing to deserve this penalty, but have a few site improvements that we are implementing to make the user experience easier and more engaging. We hope to come out of this "funk" soon.

Hey…
Thanks to all who have visited my blog via the MDBP! I wanted to make this update to give relative newbies something concrete as far as traffic goes for a blog that is one year old (in 2 days). I always wondered what I should expect after a year, so hopefully this will help someone out…
*remember: different niches draw different amounts of traffic

Sept 2011 Stats (12th Month):
Visitors: 8500+
New Visitors: 90%
Page Views: 12, 000+
Average Time per Visit: 2min 14s
Bounce: 26%

Compared to my very first month (Oct 2010) where we only saw 514 visits, I'd say we've come a long way!
